I've been in the Merchant Navy for over 25 times so I would like to partake my experience on my life after spending further than half of it in the Merchant Navy. Let me start with the advantages.
Watch: What to do after Matric 2023?
- Being a nature nut my work keeps me right next to nature. It's like a constant companion. You get to see the stylish suns and evenings. Not to forget beautiful sensations for which you get the ring side view.
- Dolphins, ocean turtles, jumbos, walruses and colorful other ocean fishes can be seen in your career. It's a first hand experience and bone that always makes you feel joy.
- The trip is stupendous. The earth is made 3/ 4th ocean and 1/ 4th land. With a long career as mine, there's veritably little of the factual earth left to be seen.
- Culture, people, sight seeing and foliage and fauna. You're exposed to nearly everything. You meet common people and you know so important about them and their customs.
- Working continuously on vessels of different types, shapes and sizes. It's all the time a different experience.
- You learn a lot, from first aid to fire fighting. From conservation of sword to handling of machines and pumps. You can be jack of all trades.
- Working with different ethnicities and learning how to overcome differences and work and live in harmony. I now have musketeers from nearly all corridor of the globe.
- Leadership is another aspect in this job and if you're a Captain as I presently am also you get a first hand experience to it.
- You add to your character beautiful traits like honesty, promptitude, fidelity and hard work.
- I would like to end that after being in the Merchant Navy you know how to enjoy life and at the same time you learn to be veritably responsible.
The disadvantages are,
- You're a misfit ashore as the traits of honesty, promptitude, fidelity and hard work is not appreciated at reinforcement. Not numerous mariners are successful ashore.
- Utmost mariners have no fiscal training. Their minds haven't developed since the time they joined ocean as the atmosphere on boat is a different one so they've veritably little knowledge on making their finances grow. numerous lose their plutocrat in systems which run into trouble due to cheating by their reinforcement mates or because they aren't used to the ways how people on land function.
- You lose a lot of musketeers as you aren't always around and when you're also they're immersed with their own workshop. The else point in this is you come a veritably good family man.
I hope this answer is of some help to understand life in the Merchant Navy. You can write comments below if anything I miss here to write.
