“Seaman Service Book known as SSB, and a “seaman identity card” known as SID.

instruction will help you definitely. If you are not new, and you want to RENEW
your seaman ID card, this instruction will also help you. All the process is
same; just follow these steps given below. First of all, you need a list of
documents in JPEG form; it will need to be uploaded online. Scan these documents
first, and then start the process. The list of documents is below.
- CNIC (Front and Back).
- Passport size Photo (Blue background).
- Domicile Certificate.
- Character Certificate (Gazette Officer).
- Passport with Valid Expiry date.
- Matric Certificate (or O Level certificate).
- FSC Certificate (for Cadet/Officer).
- PMA Professional certificate (for cadets).
- Certificate for eligibility from POMMD for engineers and technicians.
- Certificate of competency. (or certificate of service/equivalent certificate).
- GP-III Certificate.
- Ministry approval form.
- Paid fee voucher.
Scan these documents in JPEG. Then, start the process of new seaman ID card.
- Open shipping office public link.
- Click on "Register" and fill the form with your data.
- Fill your education, experience and everything from the top of right hand side.
- Then, click on "Generate Request" from left hand side.
- Now, Fill the form, and select "NEW SEAMAN ID CARD".
- Once you complete the form, click on "Request Register" from left hand side and select "Attached Documents" from Action tap, on right hand side.
- Upload all required documents.
- Then, click again on "Request Register" and there will be a fee voucher link. Download it and pay the fee at state bank of Pakistan. The fee is Rs:400 normally.
- After fee payment, upload the scanned fee voucher and click on finalized.
- That's it. Now download "Print SID application form and email template" and print it colored.
- Submit the printed form at Shipping office Karachi.
- End. You card will be issued in 2 weeks. You can collect it from Shipping office.
